A new member of our family!

Well, we're in Idaho now, and we're quickly becoming proper Rednecks :) We've even got a half inflated rubber boat in our garden - because we can :)

But seriously, everything is going really well so far. We have a lot of work to do so we've been very busy since we got here, and Colin is back at work now so our to do list just keeps getting bigger, but we'll get there. I planted a vegetable garden, and have to mow the lawn at least once a week to keep the mosquitoes down - it's a very big lawn. Last weekend, my brother and my Dad came over and took up part of our decking in the back yard and moved it over to the side of the house. We're going to fence that area off and have a safe place for Daisy to play, but the weather turned on us, so we haven't been able to get the fence up yet. It will be pretty cool once we do, though, because we should be able to just let Daisy out the back door to play. We've been finding a lot of fun toys for her at yard sales, so she has a slide, a bubble lawn mower, a swimming pool, and her first bike, although she can't reach the pedals, so we have to push her around on it.

I have to say that Daisy really loves it here. She has free range of the whole downstairs in the house and loves running around outside. She also loves all the big dogs in my family, so when my Aunt moved out of our driveway and took her dog Ivy with her, we decided to get an addition to our little family for her to play with. We adopted Marlie (an 18 month old half white lab, half husky) last Friday and she's fitting in perfectly. She is a really lovely, friendly dog, and apart from not coming when Colin calls her, she's a really good dog!

Well, I'm going to try to get some pictures posted tonight, so I'll try to fill you in on some more Idaho adventures next time I get a free minute or two. Best wishes :)
