Wow....where has all the time gone. Daisy is 9 months old now, and crawling all over the place. She has been for a while now, actually. It's just been ages since I've done an update.
She's got four teeth now, two on the top and two on the bottom, with a couple more threatening to come through.
She started crawling and cruising around the furniture a while ago. She started out with commando crawling, then got up on all fours about a month later. She's definitely keeping me on my toes. Our lounge is pretty much baby proofed, so she's able to roam free. It's not very big though, and a few times I've actually walked in and not been able to find her. She gets herself wedged in to all the tiny spaces, and recently started pulling herself up to the window to have a look out. She's not quite tall enough, so she can pretty much just see tree tops and sky, but she seems to enjoy it!
We're doing a new way of weaning called 'Baby Led Weaning', where she has just been feeding herself finger foods since she was 6 months old, rather than purees. It was a little scary at first, because she seemed to be gagging quite a bit, but she's got the hang of it now, and it's really fun. She sits at the table with us when we eat, and we just put different foods on her tray for her to try. She loves courgettes (zucchini) and sweet potato for dinner, rice cakes with pumpkin seed butter for lunch, and loads of fruit and cereal for breakfast. She eats lots of other things, but those seem to be her favourites at the moment!
We're trying to be able to put videos of her on the website, but haven't had a chance to do it yet. We have got some of her laughing, eating and crawling, so if you'd like to see them, let me know and I'll email them to you :)
