We had a big day today. First of all it snowed a lot. The most this winter. About 2-3 inches at my parents house (that's quite a lot of snow for England!). Daisy enjoyed watching it out of the window for a while.
We went to my parents for lunch and after we ate Daisy started trying to roll over while she was laying on the floor. Recently she has been waving her legs in the air when laying on her back, and started using the motion to roll over onto her side. Today however she discovered that with a bit more effort she can go all the way over onto her stomach. It wasn't a one off, she did it a few times. The only problem was that she ended up with her arm pinned under for stomach and seemed unable to work out a solution to this problem. I'm sure she'll work it out soon though. =)
When we got home we laid her on the floor and she started swinging about some more, but rather than roll over she just slowly work her way round until she was 180 degrees from where we had put her.
Later Mandi was carrying Daisy to the bedroom and stood her on the bookshelves that are temporarily standing down one side of the hall. She started taking a few wobbly steps with Mandi holding her up. She's a long way from walking unsupported, but it's interesting that she seems to know what she needs to do already.
Another new thing was her lifting her feet out of the water in the bath so that I can squirt them with the water from one of the squirting ninja ducks. Very cute.
Anyway, my new job is going well. Very busy trying to get the software finished ready for a data release in a few weeks. Hopefully things will calm down a bit after that. But it seems like a fun place to work. =)
I still can't get over the amount of snow that fell today. =O
Well I'm off to bed now, but feel free to send us a message, or post a comment for everyone too read (see below).
Colin =)
